In March 2011 the Multi-Purpose Logistics Model of the International Space Station was designed to carry cargo to and from the station. Three modules were built by the Italian Space Agency (ISA) and named: Leonardo, Raffaello and Donatello. The NASA MPLM Group approached Mirage Studios (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) artist A.C. Farley to design a logo with a ninja turtle in an astronaut flight suit.
